Alloy Wheel Refurbishment
We can offer full wheel refurbishment on most wheels including:
- Sports vehicle wheels
- Luxury vehicle wheels
- Magnesium wheels
- Steel wheels
- Alloy wheels
- Split rim wheels
- Motorbike wheels
The method that we conduct to do our alloy wheel refurbishment is as follows:
- Tyres – We have two options available for this stage. We can either break the bead of the tyre, or completely remove the tyre prior to painting your wheels. Tyre removal may incur an additional fee due to a third-party company being needed in order to both remove and re-fit tyres
- Decontamination – By removing all grease, dirt, and brake-dust, we would then be ready to start the next stage.
- Preparation – 90% of the time, the wheels that we receive come with some sort of kerbing on the outer edges of the wheel. This would then get sanded back and filled where appropriate to leave a smooth, even finish ready for the paint and keeping them looking as good as new.
- Paint & Primer – Primer is then applied, followed by your choice of paint colour.
- Lacquer – Your wheels are subjected to a lot of brake-dust and general road grime, so for a final-stage we apply lacquer. This will help the paint stay as fresh as possible for as long as possible; offering some protection.
After you have received your wheels back, it is recommended that a wheel sealant is applied to help maintain and preserve the paint on your freshly refurbished wheels.
